Account Director - Marketing and Events
Nik Emmonds is responsible for the Events and Marketing side of the business, managing a team to deliver high quality consumer events, while leading on all elements of the planning and delivery. He is also responsible for new business generation and concept creation.
In Event Management Nik manages the delivery and customer relationships on events including Cycle Live Nottingham, European Archery Championships, Archery GB National Series Finals, The Milk Race, The Victoria Trophy, Run in the Dark, University of Nottingham Life Cycle and the Mansfield 10K. His event portfolio also includes fresh 'n' lo Pedal for Scotland, Brooks HellRunner, Perkins Great Eastern Run and Virtual Runner.
He is responsible for bringing the Italian concept Run 5:30 to the UK with the first event held in Nottingham in 2015. In addition he recently worked on secondment for Nottingham City Council as their Major Sports Events Officer. This involved working on the Ikano Robin Hood Marathon, The Tour of Britain, National Paralympic Day and the Aegon Nottingham Tennis Open.
On the marketing side he specialises in co-ordinating a variety of marketing activity for each campaign by liaising with all forms of media to ensure that the client gains the maximum exposure for their budget. His clients include Brooks HellRunner, Helly Hansen Beauty and the Beast, Columbia HellRider, Parkinson's UK Spooky Sprint, Theatre Royal Nottingham, Experian Cycle Live Nottingham and the Great Notts Bike Ride sponsored by Boots.
He graduated from the University of Derby with a First Class Honours degree in Media Writing and Theatre Studies. He played representative rugby to a high level and captained Nottingham Rugby Club as a junior whilst also competing as a 100 metre sprinter for Notts AC.
He lives with his long term partner and has a young daughter. As a glutton for punishment, Nik is also a keen Newcastle United supporter.
