Nottingham Rugby players record Fairytale of Nottingham Rugby

Over the last couple of weeks there has been a huge buzz around the ground and only one thing the lads have been talking about.
It is of course the Christmas Song master minded by Jacko and sung quite beautifully by Joe Munro, Awooga Erinle and Crunchie!
Speaking exclusively to Jacko about how he came across the idea of a Christmas song, he revealed 'well mate I'd been thinking of ways to help promote the club and then one night it came to me. Like all good ideas and inventions it came in a dream. Geri Halliwell came to me in a dream and said the lads should do a Christmas song and she handed me the lyrics. When I woke up I could remember all the words and so just cracked on with it!'
Joe Munro took a lead singer role being identified by Jacko as an excellent singing prospect for the future. Munro had this to say about his singing exploits 'well some people have actually described me a the song bird of my generation. Not many people have heard me sing before this as I'm very particular about who I let hear me sing!'
Crunchie was onboard in both an instrumental role as well as backing singer. When playing the guitar in the studio he described the experience as if he "was floating above his own body and looking down on himself playing the guitar, it was truly magical"
Finally we couldn't finish without mentioning the boy that brought the base. The recording equipment initially had difficulty with the depth of Oogie's voice but after a few minor adjustments the man with possibly the deepest voice in world rugby was hitting all his notes, all be them extremely low!
The lads did a great job and hopefully we will hear the crowd singing it at the game today!
