Last chance to get a place in the Bath Half
19th January 2010, Our Clients

If you are still hoping to enter this year’s Bath Half Marathon you need to act fast to grab one of the few remaining entries available.

The race, which takes place on 7th March, never fails to sell out and attracts runners from all over the UK and abroad, as well as a significant local contingent.  All 15,000 available places for the half marathon have gone but there are still a number of ways you can take part in the event.

General entries for the event sold out in November last year, but do not fear, if you still want to take part a number of charities still have golden bond places.  Log on to the event website www.bathhalf.co.uk and check the charities section for a list of options. Breast Cancer Campaign still has a few places left and offer great support to their running team.  Golden bond entries will close on February 5.

If you don’t fancy the half marathon then why not sign you and your family up for the Fun Run, held in support of the Bath RUH Forever Friends NICU Space to Grow Appeal.  Organisers are hoping to attract 1,000 entrants to the 2.5km Family Fun Run this year, which follows the same route as the main race, starting and finishing under the gantry on Great Pulteney Street. Around 50% of entries for the Fun Run have already gone and the event looks as though it may sell out in the next week. To enter log on to the event website or call 01225 422 255.

The Bath Half is one of the largest charity fundraising events in the South West and supports over 40 local and national charities each year. Last year’s event has already raised an estimated total of £1.3million for good causes.  Alongside Dorothy House and Forever Friends, the 2010 event’s official charities/appeals include the Royal National Lifeboat Institution’s (RNLI) South West Lifeguard Appeal and Bath Cats and Dogs Home.
