Beach Volley Ball

Beach Volleyball is one of the most colourful Olympic sports and will come to Brighton, one of Britain’s most vibrant cities, from 3rd – 7th September.

The event will be hosted at Nivea Sun Yellowave, a purpose build beach volleyball facility on Madeira Drive along Brighton Seafront. The venue will see additional seating and extra sand brought in specifically to host the World Championships, boosting the capacity to 2000 seats per day.

Male and female teams from Brazil, Australia, the USA and Europe are expected to compete and create a carnival atmosphere in Brighton. Athletes will see the event as an important step towards success in 2012. Britain is expected to confirm teams following trials at the end of June.
